SSS goes to Trail Building School

Over the weekend of 6/25/2021, the Silverton Singletrack Society completed a multi-day trail building school where we learned stonework and basic trail-building concepts. The school, hosted by IMBA Trail Solutions and Joey Klein (world renowned for building mtb trails!) involved classroom time and field work to practice concepts. The class was especially useful and we’re hugely appreciative of all instructors and participants.

Thank you Coffee Bear for providing the great coffee to start each day, and Town of Silverton for letting us use Town Hall. And last but certainly not least, thanks to the Bureau of Land Management for the grant that helped make it possible!

Armed with this info, we will tackle trail maintenance and building projects in the near future. Stay tuned for future announcements for volunteer opportunities!
